I am an everyday mum, the eldest of twelve children my education level was to year 8 because at age of 14 I had to get a job to help support my struggling family, so you can see I am kinda ordinary and i say that with pride, for I am a happy person and my upbringing has taught me to enjoy what ever every day life throws my way. I married and bore 4 children all grown and doing their best to raise their babies, we all like to think we can solve most problems and will always try.
My son Michael while working as a concrete finisher asked me if I could find away to stop his hard hat from slipping, sliding and falling off, even the wind would blow the helmet off. He could have worn a chin strap but hated the feeling of a choking strap under his chin. So I set out to solve his problem and I thought to myself that I could solve all hard hat wearers problems at the same time, so of to the patent attorney I went and filed my design after making the perfect prototype. the patent was granted, and after knowing the idea really was mine, I then set out to manufacture the accessory,.Well I have not looked back since that day, the product fixes around the nape is made from quality leather and soft silicon little nodules that are shaped to fit the back of the skull, the workers can shake their hard hats all they want and it will not budge.I am really surprised that this item was never made before, well I am happy it is now and my son is very happy to have his hard hat securely on his head for good. you can see this nifty item at www.safe-mate.com.au Let me know what you think. cheers
